It seems like if I want to get the mic working on the Wii I need to replace the audio driver for my audio interface. I used this video which details the driver switching. If there's no fix for the above, I may just forget about the GC and just try and get it working on the Wii.
Has anybody else experienced this latency and know how to fix it? I also tried changing to the WASAPI backend but no games would open, Dolphin would crash. I'm pretty sure I'm just using the default audio settings (attached at the bottom), I did try running through all the different options and didn't notice any difference to the latency. Close the Configuration panel and select Refresh. Locate and select the folder that contains all your games. I'm using a SM58 running through a Focusrite 18i8 (2nd Gen), although I did also try a Logitech webcam and a mic through the main pc mic jack (Realtek). To start playing Wii games and/or GameCube games with the Dolphin Emulator, perform these steps: Launch the Dolphin Emulator and select Config. It seems to currently be working in Mario Party 6/7 and Karaoke Revolution Party however I'm noticing input latency of a at least a 0.5s.
